The Tried & Tested Award celebrates products and services that genuinely support parents through pregnancy, babyhood, and beyond. For the 2025 award, products were assessed through a process that combined online community votes with expert panel reviews and real-mum product testing.

We are delighted to announce the Tried & Tested Awards 2025 winners and finalists, celebrating the brands that truly stood out for real families this year. These results are powered by our community — with 1,694 verified votes cast by members of the First Time Mums UK network, combined with in-depth reviews from an expert panel, real mums, parenting experts and mum influencers. Below, we share the full results, expert insights and honest mum feedback for each award-winning and finalist product.


Winners



Calm Balm by WildMint stood out for its gentle, family-friendly formulation designed to soothe dry, itchy, and sensitive skin. Mums particularly loved that it is fragrance-free, 100% natural and suitable from just six weeks old.



What mums said

Many mums were drawn to the balm’s natural and dermatologically tested ingredients, with strong appeal for families dealing with sensitive or eczema-prone skin. While some felt the price point was on the higher side, interest remained high due to its clean formulation and suitability for the whole family.

Review panel feedback

Panel reviewers praised its effectiveness in reducing redness and soothing irritation. Minor feedback focused on texture, with suggestions it could feel smoother, but overall performance was rated very positively.


Calm Balm exceeded the recommendation benchmark and earned the Winner Badge for its effectiveness, natural ingredients, and family-safe use.



The Snoozee Sleep Trainer Clock impressed mums as a simple yet effective tool for supporting healthy sleep routines and encouraging independence in young children.

Mums loved the clear colour system for sleep and wake times, calling it easy to use and helpful for building consistent bedtime routines. Some expressed interest in seeing more scientific validation, but overall feedback was extremely positive.

An iconic favourite, the Original Sophie la girafe Teether continues to be trusted by generations of parents.

Mums loved the natural rubber material, easy-to-hold shape, and instantly recognisable design. Many shared that they had used Sophie la girafe previously and developed trusted in this brand.

Splash About’s Baby Swimwear Collection impressed with safety-led design, versatile styles, and high-quality materials, offering both fun and functional swimwear for children.

Finalists



Kendamil Organic Follow-On Milk was highly regarded for its organic whole milk base, British production, and strong brand reputation among mums.



What mums said

Mums described Kendamil as a trusted, high-quality brand with strong values. Many appreciated the organic ingredients, lack of palm oil or soy, and the fact that it is made in the UK. The premium price was noted as both a strength and a barrier.

Review panel feedback

Reviewers highlighted ease of use and positive acceptance by babies. Customer service and whole milk formulation were also praised, with price being the main consideration raised.


Kendamil earned a Finalist Badge, recognised for quality, trust, and sustainability, with price noted as the key consideration.



Yummy Mummy’s Pre-Packed Hospital Bag was praised for removing stress from birth preparation, especially for first-time mums.

Mums described it as convenient, efficient, and beautifully presented. Many highlighted how helpful it is to have everything ready without worrying about forgetting essentials. It was also noted as a lovely baby shower gift idea.
